The combination of the highly dense and defined lines on and around the knuckles with the long, dark fingernails makes these hands look like they belong to an old witch. I don't think this is the look that you were going for, so I think that if you were to lessen the definition around the knuckles and the various lines all along the hands. Generally speaking, the more lines you have, the older skin looks.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind for next time. The project required as much realism as possible, and my art teacher always insisted on "Darks darker, lights lighter" so it had to be done. But thanks for the comment!
